A Special Birthday for a Special Physician!

Several weeks ago, Duke Children’s and the Duke Department of Pediatrics celebrated the 90th birthday of Dr. Samuel Katz. Dr. Katz has led an illustrious career in pediatrics and is world-renowned for his love of teaching, the creativity of his scientific approach, his outstanding performance as the beloved chairman of the Duke Department of Pediatrics, and his astonishing record both as the developer of vaccines at the bench and as an international advocate for vaccination of children. He has demonstrated a unique ability to make the world a better place for children and remains an inspiration to many. We were thrilled to celebrate this milestone with him! Happy birthday, Dr. Katz!
