GameStop Round Up Campaign Supports Duke Children’s
GameStop stores in Raleigh-Durham are asking customers to round up their change to support GameStop Gives charity partners including Duke Children’s.
The COVID-19 pandemic has placed unprecedented stress on Duke Children’s and now more than ever, we need support. By partnering with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, GameStop is helping transform how we meet these urgent needs brought on by the pandemic. Kids can’t wait for a cure. Kids need our help, now.
Thank you, GameStop, for making a tremendous difference in the lives of kids like Benjamin Pappas, our 2020 Duke Children’s Champion.
Benjamin began experiencing pain and limping when was a toddler. His physicians sent him for tests, but did not know how to diagnose him. He was finally sent to Duke Children’s, where he was diagnosed with chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis, a rare condition where the body attacks its own bone marrow, resulting in painful lesions. Now, Benjamin is a 9th grader and, thanks to the care he receives at Duke, is an active teen: a budding scientist, a caretaker for his pet chickens, and someone who loves to give back to Duke and his community with his best friend, his sister Colette.
Since 2018, GameStop has provided over $15,000 in support for Duke Children’s through point of sale campaigns, product donations, Extra Life and more.
