Publix Stores Raise the Bar in 2018

Publix in High Point, NC held “pie in the face” events each Saturday during the campaign. The location was the top-performing store for Duke Children’s in 2018, raising $9,041.39.

Over the past 26 years, Publix has rasied more than $37 million for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals around the country. These funds are raised through a seventeen day campaign held each year. Store associates sell Miracle Coupons at the register that benefit their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

Duke Children’s was happy to have welcomed 6 new stores to the area in the past year, just in time for the 2018 campaign! These stores joined 6 existing locations that raised over $18,000 for Duke Children’s in 2017. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the employees, Publix raised $61,957.42 this year – an incredible 242% increase from the previous campaign. This would not have been possible without the support of store associates everywhere. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

Each store found their own creative ways to drive donations. Whether is was decorating checkout aisles with balloon displays or holding pie in the face events outside the store, it’s clear that Publix is passionate about making a difference in their community.

Duke Children’s appreciates the time, energy, and effort that went into the 2018 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign. Thanks to partnerships with companies like Publix, Duke Children’s is able to provide the best quality healthcare for children from all over the region.
