Extra Life RDU Guild Games for Duke Children’s!

Extra Life National Gameday Marathon was this past weekend, and members of the Extra Life Raleigh-Durham Guild came out in full force to game for 25-hours and to raise money for Duke Children’s!

490 gamers participated on behalf of Duke Children’s, and have raised over $101,000 (and counting!) for the kids. While the annual 25-hour Gameday, held this year on Saturday, November 4, is Extra Life’s milestone event, gamers are invited to fundraise year-round for their local children’s hospitals.

The Raleigh-Durham Guild hosted a special event at The Nest in downtown Raleigh. 50 gamers participated, all of whom raised at least $50 for Duke Children’s. Board games, card games, and video games were enjoyed by all as they celebrated their work raising money for the patients and families at the hospital. Highlights included Wii Bowling and Mario Kart tournaments that were broadcast live on Twitch.

Extra Life is a fundraising program that empowers the gaming community to make a difference in the lives of sick and injured children. Interested in gaming for the kids at your local children’s hospital? Visit the Extra Life homepage to learn more!

Good luck to all of our Extra Lifers as they continue fundraising through the end of the calendar year. Thank you for all you do for the kids!
