Extra Life Participants Play Games and Heal Kids

Extra Life National Gameday was on Saturday, November 3, and gamers across the market dedicated a day for play to raise money and awareness for Duke Children’s hospital. Over 400 gamers participated on behalf of the hospital this year. Donations are still coming in and will do so through December 31. To date, Extra Life has generated over $60,000 for Duke Children’s in 2018.

On National Gameday, table top and video gamers united to play games for a full 24-hours to honor kids treated at their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (thanks to Daylight Savings Time, the event actually lasted 25 hours!).

The Extra Life Raleigh-Durham Guild partnered with our friends at Triangle Game Night to host a marathon event at the beautiful co-working space The Nest in downtown Raleigh. Board games, video games, and more were enjoyed by all as attendees celebrated their year-long efforts to raise money for Duke Children’s.

Extra Life is a fundraising program that empowers the gaming community to make a difference in the lives of sick and injured children. Interested in joining us? Visit the Extra Life page and follow our local RDU Guild to become more involved in the program and volunteer locally.
